MindEdge is committed to the principle of equal access for learners with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) of the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative (W3C WAI). To help us achieve WCAG 2.1 level AA compliance in all areas, and AAA compliance in most areas, we have accessibility experts on staff who thoroughly test our courses and new features for learner experience and compatibility with the most commonly used assistive technologies. Learners are able to contact us through a variety of methods within the course regarding any accessibility issues.
As part of our commitment, MindEdge is now engaged with Perkins Access, a division of Perkins School for the Blind. This is to ensure that MindEdge Learning course content conforms to the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (W3C WCAG) Version 2.1 Level AA requirements. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Perkins Access has been contracted to provide WCAG 2.1 AA auditing of MindEdge’s course and LMS features.
Feedback and questions regarding accessibility in the MindEdge LMS and courses can be directed to access@mindedge.com.
