Propel Program Launches with Networking, Personal Finance courses
May 26, 2016
The first two courses in MindEdge’s Propel program, Networking for Success and Personal Finance, are now available on MindEdge Online. Aimed at college students and recent graduates, Propel courses help prepare those entering the world of work for success.
Propel courses are available on MindEdge Online, and additional courses will be launched over the next several months.
Networking for Success helps learners improve their personal and professional networking skills by providing best practices and effective tips and techniques. It covers techniques to approach, build, and maintain professional networks and helps learners to create a personal and professional networking plan and organized system. Examples, videos, interactive games, and review
questions ensure mastery of the material.
Personal Finance addresses the challenges and opportunities of independently handling one’s own finances. Learners are introduced to the basics of budgeting, credit, saving, and investing. Best practices are covered, as well as how to set financial goals, monitor and adjust a personal budget as necessary, and capitalize on available investment options.
Successful completion of any Propel course earns learners a MindEdge badge. This symbol of achievement, aligned with Mozilla Open Badges, can be stored in a learner’s Mozilla Backpack for sharing across career sites, social networks, and personal portfolios. More information on Open Badges can be found at http://openbadges.org.
