BOSTON, MA (June 1, 2023) –
MindEdge Learning, the cutting-edge online education firm, has named Robert A. Maginn Jr., an education technology veteran with more than 30 years of entrepreneurial and executive experience, as its new chief executive officer.
Mr. Maginn is co-founder and past Chairman and CEO of Jenzabar, Inc., an enterprise software and services provider exclusively for higher education. He assumed his post at MindEdge on June 1.
“Bob Maginn is the ideal person to build on MindEdge’s well-earned reputation as a leader in online education quality, and take the company to the next level,” said D. Quinn Mills, MindEdge’s board chair and founder. “With Bob’s entrepreneurial vision, passion for education, and strong executive leadership skills, MindEdge will take its place in the top echelon of the online education industry.”
At Jenzabar, Mr. Maginn spearheaded the company’s growth from an internet start-up to an industry leader. He previously served as a senior partner and board member of Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm.
Deeply committed to sustainability and to eliminating poverty, Mr. Maginn is an operating partner at Energy Impact Partners, a global investment firm focused on creating a sustainable future, and a Harvard University Advanced Leadership Fellow advising on climate change and poverty. He received his Certificate in Advanced Leadership (ALI) from Harvard University in 2022.
“I am tremendously excited to join the MindEdge family, to help further its mission of improving the way the world learns,” Mr. Maginn said. “The MindEdge brand stands for unsurpassed quality in academic, professional development, and continuing education courseware. I look forward to maintaining that high level of quality while expanding MindEdge’s reach and scope.”
