BOSTON, MA (June 17, 2022) –
MindEdge Learning, the cutting-edge online learning firm, today announced the launch of HR Skills™ Fundamentals, , a new certificate program designed to give learners the tools they need to excel in the fast-growing field of Human Resources.
The Fundamentals program is designed to provide the learner with a solid foundation in the basic skills of Human Resources management, including hiring, onboarding, and training and development. “Hiring and retaining high-quality people is the key to success in today’s business world,” said Jennifer Adams, managing director of the MindEdge skills brands. “That’s why smart companies are investing in Human Resources—and it’s why skilled HR professionals are in such high demand.”
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for HR professionals and managers is as high or higher than the national job growth average for all other professions, with an average of 73,400 openings projected annually through 2030. And, with many HR functions now going remote, the field has entered a period of dynamic change, further increasing the need for high-quality skills training.
The HR Skills™ Fundamentals certificate will provide learners with a solid foundation and understanding of the fundamental skills needed to begin a career path in Human Resources. It comprises eight courses:
- The Hiring Process
- Interviewing
- Onboarding
- Training and Development
- Interpreting Data
- Effective Meetings
- Exit Interviews
- HR Federal Law
All courses are self-paced, online learning experiences that are ideal for individual learners—both those who are new to the HR field and veterans who are looking to broaden their knowledge base or move up to the next career level. But the courses are also well-suited for use as a self-contained organizational training program.
“This new certificate program provides training in all the HR skills that help a business run smoothly,” said Jefferson Flanders, president and CEO of MindEdge Learning. “At the organizational level, HR Skills™ Fundamentals can free up time for an HR department to focus on the organization’s most urgent priorities. And high-quality skills training is also a valuable employee benefit—one that can give organizations a competitive advantage in the marketplace for top talent.”
HR Skills™ Fundamentals is the second certificate program that MindEdge has launched under its new HR Skills™ brand. Last March, the company launched HR Skills™ Best Practices, an eight-course program that focuses on the behaviors, practices, and approaches that enable HR professionals and leaders to excel.
All HR Skills™ courses carry recertification credits for both HRCI® and SHRM® credentials.
No previous certifications or experience are required to take the courses. For more details on HR Skills™, the two certificate programs, and corporate solutions to help your company’s HR professionals and managers who supervise employees, visit the HR Skills™ website.
